Friends and Family,
Last week I packed 12 brothers into our big and awesome van and went up the pan-american highway dropping off small missions teams in different villages along the way. Each team did lots of evangelism, visitation, and bible teaching. My team went furthest north to a little town called “Pacanga”. For two days we passed out tracts, preached and tried to encourage the brethren. It was a great time of fellowship, ministry and interesting experiences.
After a long day of evangelism and then a long evening meeting with the church we were happy to sit down to a late supper of savory donkey meat and rice. Finally at about 1 a.m we got to bed and were hoping to get some quality rest but we found that the mosquitos were unbearable to sleep with. The brother with whom we were staying decided to take care of the problem by lighting off a smoke bomb in our bedroom. The thick cloud of smoke got rid of the mosquitos real quick..... but I'm not sure that the burning sensation we had in our throats and consequent coughs all night was much better than the pesky blood suckers.... At any rate, it was a memorable experience.
